Stop and smell the Roses

Hi all,
Thank you for all your lovely comments on my previous post :)
happy Tuesday, hope your week has been good so far with lots of stitching or whatever craft you're doing :)

I made this little flower garden, so stop and smell the roses :) lol

I started with white silk ribbon in 4 different sizes to make all the different flowers.

I then "painted" each individual flower and leaf

I hope you all have a happy week crafting
:)

  2. I never use the abbreviation OMG because I don't like it, but OMG! I am in total awe of your handiwork and your patience to not only do the ribbon embroidery itself but to hand-paint all the ribbon too! You have created an extraordinary piece of artwork. Congratulations just doesn't seem like a good enough word!

  7. Hi dearest Summer , good to be back :)))) .. well what does one say ..what can one say... on my last visit one said , that I thought you had passed through a door , entering into a higher plane of artistic demand in your creating in WHITE silks that had to be HAND PAINTED , and that one felt this be your forte , in which one felt you would find such artistic finesse to be yours in working in this medium , For long has Ban known that which is the creative beauty , that exists within dear Summers heart mind and soul ,and its ability to transcribe from inner self to the physical which in turn projects it's self within the myriad of mediums she has applied her inner self too.. . But THIS dear Summer THIS Magia , THIS spectacular illusion of summer garden in full bloom comes NOT from illusion alone . One must possess certain life knowledges , experiences ,and practiced skills ,patience , over patience , eye and hand co - ordination instructed of the most disciplined prolonged concentration of ordered mind ,a knowledge of subject , that one may apply not only colour to the blank white of this masterpiece in its onset , but living tones , shades , the absence of colour in miniscule areas that adjoining colours may be heightened in that absence of colour for EACH flower , EACH piece of greenery is as EACH snowflake is UNIQUE unto it's self .NOW ..let us ADD to that , that this masterpiece is SO tiny , some of the buds of the Wistaria , or Wysteria depending on how you wish to spell it , are infinitesimal , One is overwhelmed NOT ONLY by the beauty of this phenomenally miraculous paragon of apotheosis , but will you just look at the beauty of this balanced cascading rainbowed waterfall of petal pixelating perfection . The Hygrophila difformis , ( water Wisteria ) cascading down on twisted silk Fibroin vine in its variable tone , perfect just absolutely perfect , followed by roses of the fullest head and colouration showing there subtlest shade variants as they shout out loud '' look at me '' amidst daisies and primrose me thinks .One stupendous prodigious GLORIOUS , visual sensory delight of the highest order dear Summer :))))) LOVE IT , LOVE IT , LOVE IT !!!!!!!! , in the words of Mary Poppins and Dick van dyke dearest Summer its one '' supercalifragilisticexpialidocious '' ( exceptional darn good ) piece of hand painted sculptured silk embroidery , in the words of Ban , one astounding , piece of pure unadulterated ,unequivocal , breathtakingly beautiful hand painted silk art , at its best ..:))))) , Dear Summer , My sincere respects , as always Ban ..Well done YOU , dear lady top draw creation be VERY proud :)))))))))
